THE ATLAS ADVANTAGEBuilt to Last
The windblown sands of the open Atlas dunes have benefited from thousands of years of additional sorting and rounding creating some of the highest quality and best performing sand in the basin. The giant open dunes have also not been subjected to the organics, soil development and impurities that the buried sand deposits have experienced, contributing to higher yields, lower costs to mine and tier one quality.
LARGEST RESERVES – DOMINANT WEST TEXAS SAND PRODUCER
Atlas controls the largest reserves in West Texas. Based on 2017 usage Atlas could provide 100% of all West Texas demand for 100 years. With this size and scale Atlas has the capacity to expand its operations rapidly to meet the growing needs of the Midland and Delaware Basins.
Substantial reserves on both ends of the West Texas sand play give Atlas the advantage of being closer to more wellheads than any of its local competitors. Direct access to multiple rail lines further differentiates Atlas with the ability to economically provide sand to other basins in the future.
The Atlas Sand Leadership has a long history of being good stewards of the land wherever they have operated. Atlas will continue this philosophy and be a model for best practices in the sand mining industry, especially regarding the Dunes Sagebrush Lizard.
